Gujarat Biotechnology Research Centre (GBRC) \u2013 Vacancy Notification<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

GBRC<\/strong> invites online applications from eligible and deserving candidates for various research positions under the following projects. Gujarat Biotechnology University (GBU), established under the Gujarat Biotechnology University Act 2018 in collaboration with the University of Edinburgh, aims to drive excellence and innovation in biotechnology to address societal needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Project Scientist\u2013II (PS-II)<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Project:<\/strong> Expansion of INSACOG \u2013 Wastewater Surveillance of SARS-CoV-2, Emerging Pathogens and Antimicrobial Resistance through Genomics-Based Methods<\/em>

Essential Qualification:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Doctoral degree in Science OR<\/strong> Master\u2019s degree in Engineering\/Technology from a recognized university.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Experience:<\/strong> Minimum 3 years<\/strong> of R&D experience in industrial\/academic institutions or S&T organizations.
    Fellowship:<\/strong> Rs. 67,000 + HRA per month
    Age Limit:<\/strong> 40 years<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    2. Project Associate\u2013II (PA-II)<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    • Preference to candidates with experience in NGS<\/strong> and Bioinformatics analysis<\/strong>
      Fellowship:<\/strong> Rs. 35,000 + HRA per month

      3. Project Associate\u2013II (PA-II)<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      Project:<\/strong> Environmental Surveillance as a Key Public Health Strategy in India<\/em>

      • Master\u2019s degree in Natural\/Agricultural Sciences, MVSc, OR<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Bachelor\u2019s degree in Engineering\/Technology\/Medicine<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Experience:<\/strong> 2 years R&D experience in Industrial\/Academic\/S&T organizations<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Candidates qualified through CSIR-UGC NET \/ GATE<\/strong> or similar national-level exams will receive higher fellowship
        Fellowship:<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Rs. 35,000 + HRA<\/strong> (for candidates under NET\/GATE category)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Rs. 25,000 + HRA<\/strong> (for others)

        4. Project Research Scientist\u2013II (PRS-II) (Non-Medical)<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

        Project:<\/strong> Establishing a metagenomic NGS surveillance model utilizing a syndromic approach in India<\/em>

        1. First Class Postgraduate degree (including integrated PG) + 3 years\u2019 experience OR<\/strong> Ph.D.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        2. Second Class Postgraduate degree (including integrated PG) + Ph.D. + 3 years\u2019 experience<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        3. For Engineering\/IT\/Computer Science: First Class Graduate Degree (4-year) + 3 years\u2019 experience
          Fellowship:<\/strong> Rs. 67,000 + HRA per month
          Age Limit:<\/strong> 40 years<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
          \n\n\n\n

          Terms & Conditions<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n
            \n
          • All positions are purely temporary<\/strong> and contractual for 11 months<\/strong>, extendable based on performance and project requirements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • No provision for re-engagement after project completion.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Selected candidates cannot claim regular appointment<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • No TA\/DA<\/strong> will be provided for attending the interview.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • During recruitment, GBRC may fill additional similar positions or keep positions vacant as deemed necessary.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
