Recruitment for Pharmacist Grade–II (Group ‘B’ / ‘C’) – 15 Posts
Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow, invites online applications from eligible Indian citizens for direct recruitment to the post of Pharmacist Grade–II, advertised under Advt. No. 72–77/Estb-2/Rectt./Dr.RMLIMS/2025.

Essential Qualification
- Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognized University/Institution
- Registered Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act, 1948
Desirable:
- Degree in Pharmacy from a recognized University/Board
- 2 years of relevant experience
Age Limit
- Minimum: 18 years
- Maximum: 40 years (as on last date of application)
Age Relaxation (as per UP Govt. rules):
- SC/ST/OBC (UP domicile): +5 years
- Govt. servants with 3 years’ regular service: +5 years
- PwBD (General): +5 years (Group-B), +10 years (Group-C)
- PwBD (OBC/SC/ST): +10 years (Group-B), +15 years (Group-C)
- Ex-servicemen/Dependents of Freedom Fighters: As per rules
Note: Only Uttar Pradesh domicile candidates may apply against reserved vacancies.

Application Process
Online application consists of the following steps:

- Uploading photo, signature & documents
- Fee payment and final submission
- Print application form
No hard copy needs to be sent. Candidates must preserve printouts and transaction proofs.
Selection Procedure
Selection will be conducted through two stages:
1. Screening Examination (CBT)
- Qualifying only; marks not counted toward final merit
- Candidates scoring category-wise minimum marks will be shortlisted (10× the vacancies)
2. Main Examination (CBT)
- Final merit based only on marks in Mains
- Bilingual exam (Hindi/English)
Exam Pattern (Screening & Mains – identical)
- Duration: 2 hours, Total Marks: 100
- 60 Marks – Subject related (Pharmacy)
- 10 Marks – General English
- 10 Marks – General Knowledge
- 10 Marks – Reasoning
- 10 Marks – Mathematical Aptitude
- Negative Marking: –0.25 per wrong answer
- Qualifying Marks:
- UR/EWS: 50%
- SC/ST/OBC/PwBD: 40%
Tie-breaking rules
- Higher total marks
- Older age
- Fewer wrong answers
- Higher marks in Core Subject section
- Earlier application number
Important Instructions
- Only candidates fulfilling eligibility on the last date of application may apply.
- Experience must be post-qualification and supported by certificates mentioning bed strength where applicable.
- Hall Tickets will be available only through the website.
- No TA/DA will be provided for exams or document verification.
- All legal matters are subject to Lucknow jurisdiction.
- The Institute reserves the right to increase/decrease vacancies, modify or cancel the recruitment process.
