The Central Drugs Testing Laboratory (CDTL), Chennai, under the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO), invites applications from eligible candidates for the position of:
Post: Senior Scientific Officer
- Type of Appointment: Deputation (including short-term contract)/promotion
- Number of Posts: 01
Eligibility Criteria
Officers from Central/State Governments, Union Territories, Universities, Public Sector Undertakings, Autonomous Bodies, Statutory Organisations are eligible if they:
- Hold an analogous post on regular basis;
OR - Have 5 years of regular service in Level 10 (₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500);
- AND possess the required qualifications and experience.
Educational Qualifications (Essential):
Master’s degree in any of the following disciplines from a recognized university/institute:
- Chemistry
- Biochemistry
- Pharmacy / Pharmaceutical Chemistry
- Pharmacology
- Bacteriology
- Medicine
- Microbiology
- Biotechnology
Experience (Essential):
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in drugs testing, standardization, and research.
Desirable:
- Ph.D. in any of the above disciplines.
📜 Important Notes:
- Maximum age for appointment on deputation: 56 years (as on closing date).
- Period of deputation should not ordinarily exceed 4 years.
- Departmental officers meeting criteria may also be considered for promotion.
