Position: Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) (1 Post)
Department: Gastroenterology, Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi
Project: “Should Colorectal Cancer Screening be Done in Asymptomatic Indians: A Pan-India Multicenter Study” (ICMR Funded Intermediate Grant)
Salary: ₹56,000/- + 18% HRA per month
Duration: Initially 1 year (extendable based on performance and co-terminus with the project)
Upper Age Limit: 35 years (relaxable for SC/ST/OBC and female candidates as per Government of India rules)
Essential Qualification:
- First Class Post Graduate Degree in Life Sciences (Biochemistry/Zoology/Biotechnology), including integrated PG degrees; OR
- Second Class Post Graduate Degree, including integrated PG degrees, with PhD.
Desirable Qualification:
- Experience in laboratory instruments/molecular techniques
- Strong scientific writing and research report preparation skills
- Experience in project management
- Proficiency in computer applications and ability to manage diverse teams
