Opportunities for M.Pharm, MSc Candidates to Work in Bioinformatics Center Project

CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory (CSIR-NCL), Pune is inviting applications from eligible candidates for engagement in a purely temporary position under a sponsored project titled “Bioinformatics Center (DBT BIC)”, funded under Project Code GAP334826.

Tenure: Initially for 6 months (extendable based on project duration & performance)

Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualification:
Master’s/Integrated Master’s in:

Pharmaceutical Sciences (e.g., M.Pharm)
MVSc / Animal Sciences
OR
Bachelor’s degree in:
Engineering
Technology
Medicine
OR
Any equivalent qualification recognized by a competent authority.

Desirable Experience:

Experience in mathematical or computational modeling (preferably evidenced by UG/Master’s projects or publications).
Proficiency in at least one scientific programming language (e.g., Python, C, C++, Fortran, Matlab).
Interest in mathematical modeling of biological systems and biological data analysis.

Age Limit

Maximum Age: 35 years as on the closing date.
Relaxation:
SC/ST/PWD/Women: 5 years
OBC: 3 years

Job Responsibilities

Development of mathematical or computational models
Programming in Python, C, C++, Fortran, Matlab
Analysis of biological datasets

Emoluments

₹31,000/- + HRA: For candidates who have qualified
CSIR-UGC/ICMR/ICAR NET (including lectureship/assistant professorship)
GATE
National-level exams conducted by Central Govt. departments/agencies (DBT, DST, etc.)
₹25,000/- + HRA: For others who do not meet the above criteria
